A General Power of Attorney allows an individual to manage the affairs of another on their behalf. This could include all general personal and financial matters or you can choose to grant them specific powers for a specific reason, for example, the sale of a property.
A General Power of Attorney is most often used by an individual who will be away traveling for a period of time or by individuals whose mobility is affected and wish to appoint someone who can do things on their behalf. For example, if you were to go on holiday and you required an individual to sign legal business documents or even to collect your pension, a general power of attorney would cater for this. More than one attorney can be selected and the power of attorney will become automatically void if the donor becomes mentally incapacitated or has died.
We understand that every individual’s needs are different and we are able to tailor the process and documentation to meet these requirements.
