Court of Protection Matters

The Court of Protection decides on matters in cases where individuals do not have the mental capacity to decide for themselves. The Court can appoint others, who are known as deputies, to make these decisions.

You may need to apply to the Court of Protection if you:

  • Require the court to make a decision regarding an individual’s financial and property affairs or their health and welfare.
  • Require an application to act as a deputy on behalf of another.
  • Have any objections to the registration of a power of attorney.

Here at CSLCDA we understand that issues such as these often arise at a difficult time and we are here to assist you in any application you need to make.
